As a therapist and teacher for over twenty years I have experienced the privilege of listening to many people of all ages and walks of life and learning about the hopes, the fears and the beliefs within human hearts. This listening without prejudice has, I believe, prepared me for the deep listening to families which is such a necessary part of creating ceremonies that are unique to each life and family.
My own family has experienced a profound bereavement and we have greatly appreciated the gift of having someone alongside us as we crossed the threshold into a new way of being in the world, a world without our loved one.
Communicating with clarity, confidence and compassion is a vital part of my work as is the weaving of words and music to create a ceremony that is both beautiful and authentic. Also important in my work is the creation of a safe place for feelings to be expressed and healing to begin.
“Thank you so much for such a wonderful celebration service for Chris, he would have loved it. I really appreciate your attention to detail. You delivered the service with feeling and love which was so important to me. You really did convey the spirit and character of Chris. All our friends and family said it was the best service they had been to. Thank you for making a tough day so enjoyable.” Julie
